The PIP II needs to be downloaded for you particular operating system.
The Macintosh program works with the Classic Macintosh operating system or OS X. It has been compressed with Aladdin System’s Stuffit and thus requires Aladdin System’s free Stuffit Expander.

The Windows program is available for Windows 32-bit operating systems, e.g., 95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, XT. (We do have an old version for Windows 3.1, but you will need to us to obtain it.) The program has been compressed with the ZIP format. You will therefore need an UnZip program to decompress. There are numerous free UNZIP programs available on the internet. After downloading the PIP II file, please follow these instructions:
- Create a temporary folder to unzip the program into, something like “PIP II Temp”.
- UnZip the program into the folder just created.
- Close all other applications that may be running. (This is very important. If you are not sure if any other applications are running we suggest you find someone who can aid you.)
- Open the “PIP II Temp” folder.
- Double click the Setup button.
- If no other applications are running click the OK button, otherwise click the Exit Setup button and start back at Step 3.
- You now have the option of changing the directory where the program is placed. The default directory is “C:\Program Files\PIP II Input\ ”. We recommend that this is the directory you use. If you decide to use a different directory then choose that one.
- Click the picture of the computer and diskette box (which is actually a button).
- You may have the option to choose a Program Group. “PIP II Input ” is fine unless you wish to change it.
- After deciding on a Program Group, click the Continue button.
- When the program indicates “PIP II Input Setup was completed successfully.” you should click the OK button.
- You can now delete the “PIP II Temp” folder if you wish.
To start the program use your mouse button and go to:
Start->Programs->PIP II Input->PIP II Input (95, 98, NT, 2000, ME)
Start->All Programs->PIP II Input->PIP II Input (XP)
