My luggage did not make it to Kaliningrad, although the mistake was make in Copenhagen, Denmark not Russia.
The hotel I stayed at was quite nice.

I did get my luggage after a few days. The problem was that I'm a diabetic and was a bit afraid I would run out of insulin and the pharmacies I checked had not even heard of the type of insulin I was taking.
Not to give the wrong impresion while in Kaliningrad I did go to a hospital once or twice with a friend. My friend did not need to wait very long, although the quality of the treatment she got I am not qualified to comment on.
