I accepted a new employment position the beginning of September 1999. I was informed when I accepted it that it would not begin until December. I was a bit surprised as that meant it would not start for over 2 months. I had always wanted to go to India and Nepal and saw this as a “once in a lifetime” chance so I walked out of the interivew and immediately went to a bookstore to purchase a book on India and Nepal.
The following is my diary from that trip in .PDF format. I wrote this diary for myself and thus while including it here I have not tried to correct the grammar or spelling. I have also not tried to make me - or anyone else - look either better - or worse - then they seemed at the time.
